Our staff is working hard gearing up for the start of the new school year for both the Learning Ladders Preschool and the Before & After School Program.

One of the major goals of the Before & After School Program is to create a safe, secure, and comforting environment and recreational experience for each child. The BASE program knows kids need to learn to be responsible, independent, and a contributor to the group. The program is designed to emphasize and promote a positive self-concept as well as a sense of responsibility in each child.

The primary goal at Learning Ladders is that children learn through socialization and play-based activities. The secondary goal is that children are exposed to reading readiness skills, ABCs, 123s, shapes, and colors. There are a variety of play areas and materials to help accomplish these objectives. A child’s first social experience should be positive and enjoyable.

The park district is eager to welcome students back into the classroom this fall! Our teachers are excited to be a part of each student’s growth and development throughout this year. We look forward to seeing all the returning students and getting to know the new ones as well!
