ALL RENTAL APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED IN PERSON AT THE PARK DISTRICT OF LA GRANGE LOCATED AT 536 EAST AVENUE.
*All applications take 1-2 business days to be approved. Approval is based on staff availability and other scheduled programs. Do not send out invitations or make further plans until you receive an approval call from our Facility Rental Coordinator. Additionally, it is not our policy to hold dates. Rentals are accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Renovated in January 2012, The DeSitter Room, located on the second floor of the Park District of La Grange Recreation Center, can accommodate up to 175 people. The room can be laid out in a variety of ways to suit any party, luncheon or seminar. The room also has a projection screen which can be used for training seminars or workshops and a kitchen is also available as part of the rental opportunity. The room is rented on a first come, first serve basis and must be rented for a minimum of 2 hours. Beer and wine is allowed in the facility, please contact us for more information regarding the rules and regulations with regards to alcohol in the facility. The rates listed below are for residents and non-resident rentals.
Security/damage deposit is $200 and may be paid by checks and
credit cards (must be in the renters name). The renter must be our
only point of contact. If rental is cancelled at any time after
approval is granted, the deposit will be forfeited. If any
rules/guidelines on the reverse side of permit are violated or if
any damage occurs during rental, deposit may be forfeited. If no
rule violations and/or damage occur, deposit will be refunded to
renter within 10 days after the rental date.
Tables for seating in the DeSitter Room are 5' round tables that
seat between six and eight people per table. Eight per table is
recommended for large groups. Tables for food are 6' x 2'
Rental fees are due two weeks in advance of the rental date.
PDLG reserves the right to cancel rentals not paid on time.
We charge $20 per hour extra for all after hour rentals (Mon-Fri
after 9PM, Sat after 6PM, & Sun after 5PM.
Sunday rentals Memorial Day through Labor Day must be a minimum
of 3 hours long and are subject to after hour fees.
Renter only has 30 minutes prior to rental start time to access
The DeSitter Room. Room must be clean and vacated by no later than
the rental end time. Rental end time cannot be extended day of
rental. Deposit will be forfeited if end time is not adhered
PDLG will setup and breakdown tables and chairs for rental.
Please throw all trash in bins provided in rented room. Please wipe
up any spills, and take all items out of room which you brought in.
PDLG will do heavier cleaning.
Pinatas, confetti, and tape on the walls are not allowed. Food
warmers, sterno, crockpots, and coolers are allowed. Any other
equipment must be approved by PDLG. Candles are not allowed (only
birthday candles are allowed for a brief amount of time).
All equipment and entertainment brought in by renter is subject to PDLG approval. Additional insurance requirements may apply.
