There will be 2 ways to register for classes:

1) In person at the Fitness Desk or Recreation Desk    

2) Online click here


If you have signed up for a fitness center class and can't make it, please let us know. You can call our front desk staff at 708-588-2260. By doing this, you are opening a spot for potential drop-ins.

Class Descriptions

Barre, Sculpt & Core: Barre blends the latest exercise science with specific methods to deliver a fusion of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training in each workout. We work with light weights to sculpt, improve balance, and work your core while improving your posture. Barre is an amazing workout that anyone can do, and no prior experience is necessary. 

Boot Camp: Achieve your fitness goals with this powerful total body workout! This workout includes a combination of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that incorporates bodyweight, strength, and cardio conditioning exercises. Each class is uniquely designed to keep you challenged and motivated. Suitable for those with some fitness experience(intermediate/advanced), but open to all levels, modifications are provided.

Butts & Guts Express: This class focuses on strengthening and toning your core muscles, lower body and more in a super thorough and effective 30-minute format! Enjoy as a standalone workout or combine with another class before or after. Suitable for those with some fitness experience, intermediate and advanced levels.

Cardio Sculpt: Join this high energy class where you will use weights to tone and define every muscle group, interspersed with cardio bursts to fire up your metabolism for the ultimate burn. This class is suitable for most levels as high impact moves can be modified as well as weight selection. Finish with some core to give yourself a total body hit for the day!

Chair Yoga, Strength & StretchThis class is designed to provide the benefits of yoga and strength training for those with less mobility. We will use chairs and light weights in seated and standing poses to stretch, build strength, improve balance and maintain good posture. This class will also include breath work and meditation for a healthy mind and body.

Chair ZumbaChair Zumba incorporates dance moves taken from Latin, World and Pop and is set to upbeat music. Improve overall energy, core stability, muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, and motor skills while seated, using arm and leg movements. This class is perfect for seniors or people who find standing cardio classes too difficult. Join the dance party!

Cycle Express + Down to Core & Stretch: Achieve your best overall fitness results with the perfect balance of cardio, strength, core and flexibility in one class! In this studio format class, we’ll combine high energy spin intervals, strength and core exercises and lengthening and releasing yoga stretches.

Down to the Core: In this class we will be focusing on targeting the four major muscle groups that make up your "core." Functionally, you use your core for everything! Targeting the hamstrings, back, hip flexors, and abdominals will help prevent back injuries and make day-to-day activities much easier. Suitable for those with some fitness experience, intermediate and advanced levels.

Flow Yoga: Flow yoga refers to any style of yoga asana that focuses on creating a connection between movement, breath, and the mind. Students will learn to move between poses fluidly and will experience a balance between a variety of poses that will help strengthen the body along with relaxing and calming the mind. Each class will follow a different focus. 

 Full Body Strength: Work your muscles in every possible way in this total- body muscle strength and endurance class! This all-levels strength workout will challenge and condition all your major muscles using a variety of equipment, including free weights, exercise bands and much more! Suitable for most fitness levels, modifications are provided for all to enjoy this class!

Gentle Yoga: This class is ideal for people of all sizes, ages, and fitness levels. Gain added flexibility, strength and calmness while doing basic standing and seated yoga poses. This class is great for those new to yoga. Students should be able to get up and down from the floor. Dress comfortably and please bring a yoga mat.

Golden Barre: This class is for active adults or anyone who wants to improve balance, flexibility, core strength and posture.  We will use a barre, as necessary, as we move through a comfortable but challenging workout. Please bring a yoga mat.

Indoor Cycle: Indoor Cycle is a fun, exhilarating cardio workout designed to improve overall fitness with a focus on endurance, strength, interval, and all-terrain training. Enjoy the many benefits of indoor cycling while having a blast in a lively atmosphere set to great, motivating music. This class is suitable for all fitness levels.

Muscles & Motion: This class consists of a combination of cardio and strength work that caters to the active older adult.  The benefits of this class not only include cardio health and muscle strength, but also focus on improving balance, core, posture, and flexibility! All levels welcome.

Pilates: Class flows through a series of basic to more advanced Pilates exercises to create long, lean muscle tone, correct alignment, improve posture, and to cultivate the perfect balance between strength and flexibility. Build strength from the inside out with Pilates! All levels welcome.

Sculpt & Abs: This class consists of body weight exercises that will target overall strength, cardio, balance, endurance, flexibly and core conditioning.  This class will raise your heart rate for the first portion while toning and strengthening your muscles. This class will help you to shed body fat while building strength and endurance. All levels welcome.

Step Aerobics for: Step Aerobics is a great cardio workout! The step routines are designed in structured movements and put all together by the end of the class. There will be a variety of options/modifications for all fitness levels. Student’s choice to use a mat, step, or step with risers. This step class will not only work your heart and body but also your mind.

Strength & Conditioning:  Enjoy a complete workout when you join us for this perfect blend of strength training and conditioning.  Class will include a full body strength workout using a variety of equipment along with cardio intervals, core work and stretching. Suitable for most fitness levels, modifications are provided for all to enjoy this class!

Strength Core & Balance: In this fun class, we will not only work on full body strength and core conditioning, but we’ll also include some balance work to make your workout even more challenging and effective! Join us for this fantastic combination of exercises designed to increase your overall strength, core and balance as well as improve your flexibility, agility, and endurance. We will use a variety of equipment including hand weights and bars, stability balls, exercise bands and small balls to help us reach our goals. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Yoga: Move mindfully while building flexibility, strength, and balance. Discover for yourself the many benefits of combining breath work with classic yoga poses in a calming environment. All levels welcome.

Yoga FUNdamentals:  This class is designed for students who wish to strengthen the fundamentals, develop new skills and techniques and deepen their knowledge of their practice. It’s suitable for both new and experienced students as well as those who are returning to their practice or recovering from an injury. This class will provide background on this ancient practice and will cover a variety of standing, seated, and floor-based poses including forward bends, twists, simple backbends, hip and shoulder openers, core poses, balance poses and resting poses. Breath work and mind-centering techniques are also included.

Zumba™: Join the Zumba party and dance to a variety of Latin and world rhythms. This cardio workout will get your heart pumping and body moving in no time! You’ll have so much fun; you won’t even realize it’s exercise! Find out what the Zumba craze is all about! All fitness levels are welcome, and no prior dance experience is necessary.

Zumba Gold: Zumba Gold mixes low intensity moves and easy to follow dance fitness choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. This is specially designed for active older adults, beginners and those requiring a lower impact workout. Move and groove to Latin and world rhythms!

Zumba Toning& Abs: Zumba Toning combines targeted body-sculpting exercise and high energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie torching, strength-training dance fitness party. Light weights are used to enhance rhythm and tone all target zones, including arms, abs, glutes, and thighs. All fitness levels are welcome, and no prior dance experience is necessary.
