It might only be March, but the Park District of La Grange is excited to welcome back campers this June! After all the challenges and sacrifices everyone has faced this past year, we have been thinking about camp, dreaming about camp and feeling really good about bringing back the camper favorite and parent approved PDLG summer camps!
All camp activities will be structured around the weekly theme that will coordinate with the games, sports, water activities, and arts & crafts. There will be one counselor for every 8 campers, for safety and more individualized attention. Each camper will receive a t-shirt to commemorate their camp experience.
Here are a few of the questions we have been hearing along with our best answers at this time. Some of these answers may change as we get closer to the summer, but for now, this is what we know. We will certainly keep you informed when we have updates!
What are the dates for camp?
Camps will run in one-week sessions from June 7th to August 6th. There are no prorates or refunds for missed days of camp. The registration deadline is the Thursday before each camp session begins.
Will campers have to wear masks?
Campers and staff will have to wear face coverings over the nose and mouth when within 6-feet of others or while indoors.
How will we practice “social distancing at camp?
Social distancing protocols will be followed as much as possible and to the best of the staff’s abilities. As many activities as possible will be set up to maintain 6-feet of distance between campers. Snack and lunch tables will be spaced apart with 2 campers per table, on opposite ends of each other.
Where can I get more information about each camp?
