Restorative Yoga for Happy Back and Hips
Restorative Yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that uses props to fully support the body in each pose which will allow you to rest, revitalize and restore energy as well as release tension. The low back and hips are often areas of physical as well as emotional tension making them a common area of restriction and discomfort for many of us. Certain everyday habits (like prolonged sitting) athletic activities and emotional stresses can contribute to tightness and restrictions in the low back and hips. Along with affecting the low back, tight hips can also be linked to pain, imbalances and instability in the knees, gluteal area, groin, and pelvis. The specific restorative poses Freya will include in this class will open and release tension in the low back, hips and hip flexors, contributing to your postural comfort and greater well-being and allowing you to let go both physically and mentally so you can relax, restore and finish class feeling wonderful! Treat yourself to this experience of pure bliss! All student levels welcome and no experience is necessary.
