Description:

It’s time for Park Pride!

Rain or shine on Saturday, May 22nd, from 8:30am to 10:30am, the Park District of La Grange is hosting a community-wide volunteer event!

Get your family and friends together for a morning dedicated to beautifying Wailoa, Sedgwick, and Rotary Parks along with the park grounds at the Community Center. Gardens are weeded, flowers are planted, small branches picked up, walkways swept, and litter collected. New this year, each volunteer group will get to paint a trash can with a nature theme that will be placed in one of our parks throughout summer and fall!

The Park District will provide disposable gloves and tools, but we encourage volunteers to also bring their own. Please label your tools if you bring them.

This event is for all ages. Families and community groups are welcome to participate. Register your group by emailing Teresa Chapman at teresachapman@pdlg.org. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for each minor who chooses to participate.

If you have any questions please contact Teresa Chapman, Assistant Superintendent of Recreation at (708) 352-1762 or teresachapman@pdlg.org. Help us take pride in our parks!
