La Grange Fitness Drop-in Childcare

Childcare is available for fitness members children between 1 and 8 years old.  The fee is $3 per child, per hour.   There is a one-hour minimum and you may purchase additional time in increments of 30 minutes after the first hour.

Monday-Saturday 8:30AM to 11:30AM

Monday-Friday 5:00PM to 8:00PM

  • *Closed for the evening only, 5pm to 8pm.


Checking In

Members must check in at the Fitness Center Desk and make a payment each visit (cash, check or credit are accepted).  After the payment is made the parent will walk the child down to the childcare room (Room 104).


Crying or Upset Children

Some children will go through an adjustment period when joining us for the first time.  Often a child will calm down shortly after a parent leaves.  Parents will be notified if their child cannot be comforted after 10 minutes, or earlier if requested.


Food & Drinks

No food, snacks, candy, gum or drinks are allowed in La Grange Fitness Childcare.  Please make arrangements to feed your child prior to attending.


Toys

Outside toys are not allowed to be brought in.


Diaper & Toileting Procedures

Staff do not change diapers. Parent will be notified in case of spoiled diaper. Spoiled diapers need to be attended to at time of notification.

Staff do not assist children with bathroom needs.  Staff will find parents if their children need to use the washroom.  Children may not use the washroom by themselves.

Please have toilet trained children try to use the bathroom prior to entering childcare.


Healthy Kids Standard:

We respectfully request that children showing any of the following symptoms not be brought into the park district.  If the child becomes sick while visiting, the child will be secluded from other children and the parent will be informed to pick up their child.  The park district reserves the right to have turn away children or have children removed due to illness or injury.  If you child exhibits any of the below symptoms please keep them home:

  • A child with chicken pox.
  • A child vomited within the last 24 hours
  • A child with pink eye or other contagious eye infections
  • A child who has a bacterial infection and has not completed 24 hours of an antibiotic
  • A child with ringworm, lice, or scabies which is left untreated
  • A child with a fever of 99 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
  • A child with a bad cough
  • A child who has a runny nose with green mucus
  • A child who has not attended school due to an illness may not visit the same day


Zero Tolerance Standard

No bullying, verbally or physically abusive, threatening, obscene, disrespectful or physical violence will be tolerated by either parent/guardian or participant.  Parents and participants will be held accountable for their actions.
